This unique and exclusive orange agate necklace is made of tube-shapes red to dark orange agate, faceted goldstone, and faceted carnelian with a tube-wired sterling silver bead in the front. Every bead in the orange agate necklace has a story

The color of this necklace is a bit hard to describe: from dark red to dark deep orange. That is because I used three different types of gemstones for this beauty.

Carnelian is a gemstone that is already known for centuries. The Egyptian Pharaohs were really fond of this gem, which reminded them of the sun god.

Goldstone is the only manmade stone that is considered a gem, although it is actually glass with copper. In the 15th century, the pope saw that the kings became richer, due to the discovery of America. He wanted that gold too and ordered his learned monks to make gold. The only material they came up with was glass with copper, which looked like gold. They could make the colors transparent, blue and this orange.
